 FAQs

  • A: The first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll ask a few questions to learn what’s bringing you in and what support might look like. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right.

  • A: Absolutely. You don’t need to know how this works — that’s my job. I’ll walk alongside you and explain things as we go.

  • A: Yes — with a few legal exceptions related to safety. I’ll go over confidentiality fully in our first session so you know exactly what to expect.

  • A: Not at all. Some people come for a handful of sessions, others for ongoing support. We’ll check in together to see what feels useful and sustainable.

  • I don’t. And here’s why. I can offer you a “Superbill” (essentially a detailed receipt) that you can submit on your own to your insurance for reimbursement if you are eligible for Out of Network benefits. (Please check with your insurance provider for eligibility).

If this is a barrier to you beginning services with me, reach out to inquire about sliding fee scale discounts availability.

  • A: I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots depending on availability. Please feel free to ask if cost is a concern.

  • A: Yes — I offer virtual therapy to adults located anywhere in Kentucky, using a secure video platform.

  • A: That’s okay. You don’t need to have clear goals to begin. Sometimes therapy is simply a space to start making sense of how you’re feeling.

  • A: I ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows are subject to a cancellation fee.

Reach out with any other questions. I’m here to make this process as gentle and supportive as possible.
